Welcome Aboard!

The Aviation Consulting Group (TACG) is a global leader in aviation safety training, consulting and research. Founded in 2000 by company President and Chief Consultant Dr. Robert Baron, and with offices in Myrtle Beach, SC and Fort Lauderdale, FL, TACG has grown to be a respected international firm with clients ranging from small, family-operated turbine repair facilities all the way up to some of the largest aircraft manufacturers and airlines in the world.

Practical Experience and Applied Research

TACG is a unique aviation safety consulting firm in that we not only have the practical experience and qualifications to serve our clients but we also conduct extensive applied research in the areas of Human Factors, CRM, LOSA, and Safety Management Systems. Our research is regularly published in some of the most prestigious air safety magazines and peer-reviewed academic journals. One of our clients says, "It's a real advantage to be able to work with a firm that actually contributes to cutting-edge research in aviation safety." We agree! Our research findings and results are constantly incorporated into our training courses and consulting engagements, which keeps our material timely and relevant.

Focused Training and Consulting

In addition to our worldwide presence and experience, TACG conducts focused aviation safety training and consulting in some of the most challenging and demanding parts of the world. These areas include Africa, Asia, and the South America/Caribbean regions. We are experienced and in tune with the specific nuances of flight operations in these challenging areas. We work with various types of organizations (i.e., airlines, airports, ATC, CAA's) to improve the safety and efficiency of air transport operations.

Long Term Relationships (example)

The Aviation Consulting Group has been working with a Caribbean airline (150 employees) since 2008. The airline operates a mix of turboprops and jets, is based in the southern Caribbean, and flies to multiple Caribbean islands as well as locations in Venezuela, Colombia and Panama.

TACG has been working on a contractual basis to provide CRM courses to the airline's pilots and flight attendants as well as Human Factors courses to its maintenance engineers. TACG was also instrumental in the implementation and deployment of the airline's functional Safety Management System and continues to provide training in SMS for all company employees. The airline is currently in the process of implementing and deploying a flight LOSA program, with the assistance of TACG, which will include training for the airline's LOSA observers. Additionally, TACG has been gathering and analyzing specific safety data which are used to continuously improve the airline's SMS, human factors, CRM and LOSA training programs.

TACG can provide this type of service to your aviation organization/airline as well. Feel free to contact us if you would like additional information or a letter of recommendation from this or any one of our many satisfied clients.
